Welcome to Sahaaya, from the Sanskrit word “sahaayam” which translates to “help” or “assist” and embodies our mission - to help you unlearn self-sacrifice and achievement-based worth while navigating complex cultural expectations, leadership, and motherhood.
Sahaaya Therapy and Wellness Services
Success without self-abandonment.
You Look Capable.
You Feel the Pressure.
You have built a life that reflects competence.
You are accomplished. Responsible. Trusted.
You meet deadlines. You care for others. You lead.
But internally:
You feel guilty when you rest.
You question whether you’ve done enough.
You over-function in relationships and at work.
You struggle to receive support.
You silently equate your worth with productivity.
You fear disappointing the people who sacrificed for you.
You don’t want to give up your ambition.
You want to stop earning your worth.
Many accomplished women were raised inside achievement-oriented family or cultural systems that taught:
Work hard.
Be grateful.
Don’t complain.
Make us proud.
Handle it yourself.
These values create resilience.
They also create:
Chronic anxiety
Hyper-responsibility
Perfectionism
Difficulty setting boundaries
Burnout
Identity strain during career and motherhood transitions
This is not a motivation problem.
It is inherited pressure.
And it requires intentional psychological recalibration.
The Inherited Pressure Recalibration™
We use a structured, culturally attuned framework designed specifically for high-achieving women navigating achievement-based worth and self-sacrifice.
Our work includes:
Identifying conditioned beliefs linking worth to productivity
Examining generational and cultural expectations shaping your identity
Restructuring imposter-based thinking
Regulating a nervous system trained for vigilance
Integrating ambition, personal needs and motherhood into a cohesive identity
This is evidence-informed therapy integrating CBT, mindfulness, somatic practices and perinatal mental health expertise.
We focus on measurable internal shifts:
Reduced guilt reactivity
Increased boundary tolerance
Decreased imposter thoughts
Improved stress recovery
Stronger self-trust
You do not need more discipline.
You need recalibration.
“I am aware of the different perspectives and cultural norms of my clients and work with them using a culturally sensitive approach, recognizing the unique backgrounds and strengths each client brings to the therapeutic space.”

APPROACH
I specialize in working with women—especially daughters of immigrants—who are juggling the weight of cultural expectations, career demands, and a deep longing for inner peace. I use a trauma-informed approach that weaves together mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic experiencing, and a compassionate, culturally-sensitive lens.
-

FOCUS
Our work might start with managing daily stress, building coping tools, and reconnecting with your body—but over time, it can evolve into something deeper: healing old wounds, unpacking intergenerational patterns, and learning to relate to yourself with kindness instead of criticism.
-

EXPERIENCE
I've worked with countless individuals over the years, and every time I witness someone begin to reclaim their voice, their confidence, and their sense of wholeness—it lights me up. Helping people move toward the life they truly want is not just my profession, it’s my purpose.
